WHO CAN JOIN THE ALAMEDA PTA?
Parents, teachers, school staff, grandparents, caregivers and anyone else who cares about supporting our children and our community.
DOES JOINING THE PTA MEAN I HAVE TO VOLUNTEER?
No! Your yearly membership is greatly appreciated and all that is required. Your volunteer and organizing efforts are a bonus, if you choose to offer them.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER?
If you would like to volunteer, please stop by the Alameda front office and fill out a standard background check form. Once you have been cleared by the state, you are all set to volunteer for the duration of your time at Alameda. You will not have to fill out the form again. A 30 minute workshop is also offered by the school to help prepare you for what to expect as a volunteer, but is not required.
HOW CAN I SHARE MY IDEAS WITH THE PTA?
The Alameda PTA is always open to knew ideas for fundraising and events. If you have an idea, please share it with us at our monthly meetings or drop a comment in our comment box located at the front doors on the PTA bulletin board.
